Bargny is a port city in western Senegal, located on the Petite-Côte, approximately 30km east of Dakar. The city is conveniently situated on National Road N1 and features a major new deep-water port intended to relieve congestion at the Dakar port. Bargny has a turbulent administrative history and also holds archaeological treasures: the Bargny 1 site yielded the oldest known stone tools in West Africa, dating back up to 150,000 years. Wikipedia
