Vojenský újezd Libavá covers 235.5 km² in the Olomouc Region, within the Oderské vrchy hills. Established in 1950 on the site of settlements with German populations who were displaced and replaced by Czech settlers, it was closed to the public for many years. Tourist trails and cycle paths are now gradually being opened. In the past, a Soviet missile brigade with nuclear weapons was stationed here. Since 2016, the municipalities of Město Libavá, Kozlov and Luboměř pod Strážnou have been separated from the military area, with the remaining territory remaining a military zone with restricted access.Wikipedia
