Durmitor is a majestic mountain range in northern Montenegro, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its highest peak being Bobotov kuk. The area, formed of limestone and interwoven with the deep canyons of the Tara and Piva rivers, offers breathtaking scenery including 18 glacial lakes, known as "mountain eyes." Durmitor is a paradise for hiking, skiing, and nature enthusiasts, home to wildlife such as brown bears and chamois. The mountain range has a rich history, from traces of Celtic and Roman presence, through its role in defense against the Turks, to partisan battles during World War II. Wikipedia
