Věžná is a picturesque village in the Vysočina region, 7 km south of Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, with a rich history dating back to 1376. It lies in the valley of the Nedvědička and consists of several parts. It offers a ski lift and boasts the Church of St. Martin, built at the end of the 16th century, featuring valuable works of art and the Vrba family crypt. An important part of the village’s history is also the founding of the fire brigade in 1887 and the arrival of the railway to Věžná in 1905. Wikipedia
