Falkenberg/Elster, located approximately 90 km south of Berlin, is a town with a significant railway history. Originally a small village on a road, Falkenberg developed into an important railway junction in the 19th century, shaping its growth and economy. The town has a long history, first documented in 1251, and was elevated to town status in 1962. Today, Falkenberg belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Liebenwerda and is known for its commitment to diversity.
