The Colonius is the tallest telecommunications tower in North Rhine-Westphalia and the seventh-tallest in Germany. Built between 1978 and 1981, it reaches a height of 266 meters. Originally used for analog television broadcasting, it now transmits digital television and radio (DAB+). Until 1994, the tower housed a revolving restaurant and an observation platform, which are no longer open to the public. Since 2022, the Colonius has been a listed monument and was also used as a filming location for an episode of Tatort. Wikipedia
