Břvany is a picturesque village in the Louny district with a rich history dating back to the 14th century. The name’s origin is connected to settlement near logs (“břev”). In the past, the village belonged to the Postoloprty estate and experienced periods under the rule of various noble families. Today, Břvany lies in an area with unique geological foundations and the source of Praga mineral water (no longer in operation). The dominant feature of the landscape is Břvanský vrch hill with a circular view, and the surrounding area features basalt rocks called Kamenné stádo.
