Vranovice is a Czech municipality picturesquely situated between the Jihlava and Svratka rivers, six kilometers east of Pohořelice. The town’s history dates back to 1257, lying on the Amber Road and developing through agriculture and viticulture. The 19th century saw the town marked by fires and cholera epidemics, while the railway played an important role from 1839 onwards.
