Amálino údolí is a nature reserve within the Šumava Protected Landscape Area, south of Kašperské Hory, offering beautiful nature along the Zlatý potok stream. Besides diverse habitats, you’ll find remnants of historical gold mining and bats in the old mines. Notably, the Kristína mine houses a seismological station that has been monitoring earthquakes since 1961. Educational trails Cestou zlatokopů and Stezka strážců hranice lead through the reserve.
