Velká Amerika is an impressive limestone quarry near Mořina in the Czech Karst, the largest in the area. It reaches a depth of up to 80 meters and is partially filled with a non-drainage lake. The “Obrazárna” section is also known for its stone inscriptions and patterns. The quarry has served as a backdrop for many Czech films and is accessible via a hiking trail with viewing platforms; parking and a bus stop are also available. However, entry into the quarry and to the water is prohibited for safety reasons.Wikipedia
