Ledeč nad Sázavou is a historic town located in the Posázaví region of Vysočina, with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. It is dominated by a 13th-century castle and the Gothic church of sv. Petra a Pavla, around which a heritage zone extends. The town flourished due to its location on important trade routes and, in the 19th and 20th centuries, due to industry, particularly the Kovofiniš company.
